Sophie began her career over 30 years ago as a retail advisor with Metropolitan Life, eventually transitioning to the Special Risk underwriting field. Over the years, she has held several leadership roles in Lloyd’s Coverholder operations. She joined Hunter McCorquodale in 2011 and currently oversees all facets of strategic management. Sophie holds significant underwriting authority under and the primary “care and control” responsibility for all Hunter McCorquodale Lloyd’s binding authorities including:

• Individual Disability
• Guaranteed Issue Disability
• Pilot Loss of License
• Personal Accident
• Kidnap & Ransom
• Contingency and various Terrorism products

Sophie holds a degree in Commerce and Ecomonics from the University of Toronto, a certificate in Strategic Marketing Management from the Schulich School at York University and a Chartered Life Underwriter designation.

She is also a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Managing General Agents, Canadian Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies, the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU), Advocis and the Canadian Institute of Underwriters
