Taleb has a long history in the construction field and joined Cresco as a Principal in 1994. But his first career began with children as a physical education teacher. With six children and nine grandchildren of his own, he is a strong advocate of education, health and cultural diversity, values that deeply influence Cresco’s commitment to active lifestyle communities. Taleb was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Saint Mary’s University in 2015. He has been a member of the Bedford South Advisory School Board, Halifax Region Immigration Leadership Council, and the School Advisory Committee for Rocky Lake Junior High School. He is an Ambassador at the Cobequid Community Health Centre and is the Chair of the Alrasoul Islamic Society. He has been instrumental in raising significant funds for both organizations.
