Mike Sim is the Chief underwriter and Director For Living Benefits at Canada Life. Mike started his career with Great West Life underwriting in 2002, in the Living Benefits department. Over the years, he has been a part of many committees devoted to the advancement of Living Benefits, including several roles on the Underwriter’s Association of Winnipeg, and currently a co-chair of the CLBS. Mike oversees the Living Benefits’ underwriting specialists and performance management team. His overall responsibilities are the implementation of the underwriting risk philosophy for Disability and Critical Illness insurance.
