Joseph Galli

President, Pentor Charity Services

Over the past 40 years, Joseph has completed dozens of restructurings, due diligence, and acquisition mandates in numerous industries on behalf of private equity and venture capital firms. Joseph has directed over 200 conferences, seminars and workshops, has been a board member of several private and public organizations and is also an investor in a number of early-stage public companies in Canada and the USA. Prior to forming the PENTOR Group, Joseph was a consultant with Ernst & Whinney (now KPMG International) where he successfully raised millions of dollars and gained expertise in insolvency, bankruptcy, and corporate restructurings. He is also the founding member of the Montreal chapter of the Private Capital Markets Association of Canada (PCMA) and was on the National Board of Directors for Canada.

In 2010, when 2 of his 3 sons were diagnosed with Loeys-Dietz syndrome (LDS), Joseph’s primary focus became creation and direction of the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation of Canada (LDSFC). Today, LDSFC is a national charitable organization dedicated to the promotion of research, awareness, education and support for those affected by LDS and related heritable disorders. In 2019, Joseph co-founded PENTOR Charity Services (PCS). The goal was to develop a program that promotes fund raising strategies through the donation of lapsing life insurance policies. PCS currently has one client – LDSFC. The goal is to build the largest private medical endowment fund in Canada.

Joseph is fluently bilingual in English and in French. He has a Bachelor of Finance Degree from Concordia University in Montreal. He has a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the North American business scene, including the unique Quebec perspective. Joseph has three adult sons and lives in Montreal.
