Nathalie Boutet is an experienced family law lawyer, accredited mediator, and certified Family Enterprise Advisor skilled at providing unique strategies and out-of-court results to the complex legal, financial and human matters related to separation or divorce for entrepreneurs, professionals, and high-net-worth individuals, and situations challenged by difficult personalities.

Before starting her own practice in 2012, Nathalie was a partner at one of Canada’s leading family law firms. Committed to the practices of out-of-court negotiation and Collaborative Law, she is among a handful on the “go-to” list in Ontario for businesses and family-owned enterprises.

Nathalie is a pioneer in the field of Neuro Family Law; the integration of law with the science of the brain and the psychology of negotiation. She helps legal professionals better understand and work with their clients to enable a less painful experience for separating families.

Being a co-founder of a separate business start up with her spouse, Nathalie understands all aspects of owning a business, various share structures and corporate financing.

A popular public speaker and subject matter expert, Nathalie educates people on topics related to business and family law, negotiation, leadership, and neuroscience.

Nathalie is a past chair of Collaborative Practice Toronto, and a Deputy Judge of the Small Claims Court, Toronto Region.

Called to the Ontario Bar in 1991, Nathalie obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL. B.) from the University of Western Ontario in 1989, and her Civil Law Degree from Laval University in Québec in 1988.
