Instructions for in-person delegates
Location
All Conference sessions will be held at The Westin Ottawa Hotel (11 Colonel By Dr, Ottawa, ON), except the Sunday night banquet (Shaw Centre, Trillium Ballroom) and the Members and Speakers Reception (Château Laurier, Ballroom).
Connect online with EventMobi
Our conference app in EventMobi is your one-stop-shop for managing your conference experience and connecting with others. Update your profile for the attendee directory, and then find out who else is coming. View the conference program, read event descriptions and speaker bios, and build your personal agenda. Chat with other delegates, get the latest announcements, and more!
You can access EventMobi from any device, whether in a browser on your desktop computer or the app on your Apple or Android device:

- Log in using the email you registered for the Conference with and you will be prompted to create a password
Conference program and presentations
The program can be viewed on the conference website as well as on EventMobi. A one page printed copy version of the program will be available at the registration desk. Please note that last minute program changes will be shared in EventMobi. All presentations and handouts will only be available in EventMobi until 90 days after the event.
Registration also includes access to on-demand video recordings of the main platform sessions starting Sunday night. The videos will be posted on our Luma1 platform by Tuesday, May 23 and will be available to registrants for a maximum of two (2) months. The workshop sessions are not being recorded. We will notify you when the videos become available.
Dress code
The dress code for the event will be business casual except for the Sunday opening banquet, and Monday’s Members & Speakers networking reception – which will be business attire.
Name badges
Visit the 4th floor of The Westin starting Sunday at 12 pm to check-in for the conference and pick up your name badge. You will need your name badge to access all events.
Continuing Education (CE) credits
Those who require CE credits will have a name badge that includes a QR code which staff will scan as you enter and exit the meeting rooms. This is to track attendance for the purposes of issuing CE certificates. Reminder! You need to attend the entire session (missing no more than 5 minutes) to earn the CE credits.
Social media
CALU will be sharing conference highlights on Twitter (@CALUcanada) and LinkedIn throughout the event using #CALU2023. We encourage delegates to share CALU’s messages or create their own.
Road closures
There will be several lane reductions/road closures in effect in Ottawa on Sunday May 7 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to CN Cycle for CHEO. The most impactful for those accessing The Westin and other conference hotels (particularly from the airport) should be Colonel By Dr. closed in both directions from Hogs Back Rd. to Daly St. from 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Details available here:
